At first glance Dimensional Watercolor Snowy Red Robin looks straightforward, but there are loads of texture and movement you need to achieve!
On first glance this Dimensional Watercolor Snowy Red Robin looks fairly straightforward, but when you really take a good look at of image you’ll notice the snowy robin actually is comprised of three types sculptures relief: Bas-relief, Alto-relief, and Intaglio relief. In order to achieve this you’ll need know which dimensional royal icing consistencies to use, where they are piped, and how much pressure is needed. If you just went “WHAT,’ no worries bobbie will walk through the entire process!
Dimensional Watercolor Snowy Red Robin contains areas of lots of different subtle brown and neutral shades – in addition to his large patch of orange on his chest.
Then there’s also the branch to paint including the lichen – and of course it does contains loads of different colors too.
Straight off Bobbie starts with color mixing food paste into the watercolor hues needed – Now, you’ll need to know where they go, in which order to paint them, and the consistencies of watercolor.
I do recommends you attempt him once you’ve painted at least the the blue bird in course which will familiarize you with the brush techniques Bobbie will be teaching .
Tis the season to spread joy!
Dimensional Watercolor Snowy Red Robin cookie is quite time consuming. It takes me about 120 minutes to create the entire design, the dimensional piping took 21 minutes, and hand painting took 99 minutes! Although this design is particularly tedious, the results are worth the time (besides it is relaxing)!
