Mackenzie-Childs Inspired Teapot CookieI adore MacKenzie-Childs’ style and each #MothersDay my daughter gives me a new Mackenzie-Child piece and Halcyon Days Pill box, this year I was given a checkered teapot from the Courtly Collection. The teapot design inspired me to create this hand painted Mackenzie-child teapot cookie. This stunning reflective teapot contains many different subtle hues and tones of black. To achieve  the right appearance we really need to ‘tune in’ to these subtle differences.
MacKenzie-Child Teapot Cookie Art Lesson is for everyone and anyone who wants to learn how to transform a naked cookie into a canvas for extraordinary works of art! This a great exercise in creating form by painting tone, establishing refection and texture with my brush technique. Because our palette is limited, color mixing will not be difficult, however it will push you to get dark enough with your darkest tones; perfect if you tend to be timid when it comes to establishing depth of color.
