The lemon martini tastes like a lemonade, the perfect fusion

Sydney and  I are addicted to lemons; we can peel a lemon like an orange, segment the fragrant fruit, and eat the segments (my dentist has been cautioning that the enamel could be in danger). Rather than given up the fruit, we incorporated the bright lemon into various desserts and we squeeze the juice from the lemons. We have been drinking a lemon martini to cool down and relax during the hot days, however I seem to always want to have another. The martini has a secret punch that keeps you wanting more.

The Lemon martini is ridiculously simple, though guest will never know.

Lemon Martini:

  • 56 gram/ 2 0unce Citron Vodka
  • 38 grams/ 1 ounce limoncello
  • Freshly Squeezed lemonade, cold
  • 1- jigger
  • 1- shaker
  • 1-double jigger
  • Ice
  • Lemon, for garnish
  • sugar, for rimming
  • Rimmer
  • Barware

 Prepare your mise em place.

Mise en place

Fill the shake with ice, add the citron vodka and add the Limoncello.  Fill the shaker with the freshly squeezed lemonade  1/4 up to the top of the shaker. Shake the shaker for 3 minutes. Rim the martini glass with sugar. Garnish with a lemon wedge,  lemon swirl, and optional a few mint leaves.

Have sweet refreshing day with a Lemon Martini!

Voila!
